Device Safety Instructions

Learn how to use, handle, and recharge your power unit safely. A complete safety guide is available in the first 15 minutes of our product guide video.

Basic
PowerontheMove is a portable electricity rental service that allows you to rent fully charged battery power stations for homes and businesses. No installation, no generator, no fuel — just plug in and use. Each unit delivers clean, silent, reliable power on demand.
Customers order a unit through our app or website, it is delivered by trained EV couriers or registered agents, used for a fixed time, then collected, tested, recharged, and redeployed into circulation. You pay only for the time you use it.
Households, small businesses, shops, traders, students, event organizers, and anyone who needs temporary, reliable electricity without the cost of installing permanent systems or buying expensive generators.
Unit Specifications
Each unit has a battery capacity of 5 kWh (kilowatt-hour) and a power output of 5 kW (kilowatt). This means you can draw up to 5,000 watts of power at once, and the battery stores enough energy to power a typical household for approximately 6–48 hours depending on usage patterns.
A 5 kW unit can power: TV, refrigerator, lights, fans, phone chargers, laptops, small air conditioners, water pumps, and most household appliances simultaneously. You cannot run a heavy AC unit (>3kW) or industrial equipment. Check device wattage before connecting.
Runtime depends on how much power you use. Light usage (fans, lights, TV) = 24–48 hours. Moderate usage (fridge + lights + TV) = 24–36 hours. Heavy usage (AC + multiple appliances) = 6–12 hours. You can check real-time power drain in the Energy Calculator.
Battery Stacking & Extended Rentals
Yes. You can rent multiple units simultaneously. For example, rent 2 units for longer continuous power, twice the amount of time a single battery will run for the same set of appliances.
The standard rental period is up to 2 days (48 hours) without extension. This allows us to test, maintain, and redeploy units efficiently. However, you can extend beyond 48 hours without returning the unit if you meet one of these conditions.
Yes you can.
If you have access to grid electricity, you can recharge the battery during your rental period (recharge time: approximately 3 hours for a full charge). When you recharge, notify the system in the app so we can adjust your billing and rental timeline. You can recharge as many times as needed and keep the unit longer.
How Operations Work
Units move in a continuous cycle: fully charged at charging hubs → delivered to customers → used for rental period → collected by couriers → tested for safety and performance → recharged overnight → redeployed to next customer.
All deliveries and returns are handled by trained EV couriers and registered agents. Customers do not return units themselves—we come to collect at your scheduled time or on request. Delivery fees may apply based on location.
The system automatically schedules pickup at the end of your rental period. You can also make early returns yourself if you wish to prematurely end the rental without refund. The unit is checked for damage, logged in our system, and recharged for the next user. If you've extended your rental or reported a recharge, the timeline isautomatically updated .
Usage & Charging
Yes. If you have grid electricity available, you can recharge the battery yourself during your rental period. A full recharge takes approximately 3 hours.
You have three options: (1) Request an early pickup and end your rental, (2) Rent an additional unit to keep using power while the first depletes, or (3) If you have grid power, recharge the battery yourself and continue using it until the expiration of your rental.
Yes. Each unit has a digital display showing remaining charge percentage.
Safety & Protection
Yes. All units are sealed, tested, and designed for safe indoor use. Each unit has built-in protection systems including temperature monitoring, overload protection, and automatic shutoff. Unlike generators, there are no fumes, no noise, and no combustion risk.
Minor wear and normal usage are covered by mandatory insurance. However, damage from misuse, drops, water damage, or negligence may result in repair or replacement charges. We will assess damage during pickup and inform you of any applicable fees.
No. Only connect devices with wattage ratings that do not exceed 5 kW total at once. Heavy appliances like industrial AC units or welding equipment are not compatible. Always check your device wattage before connecting. The unit will automatically shut off if you exceed the power limit to protect the battery and your appliances.
For Agents (Shop Owners)
A PowerontheMove Agent is a registered shop owner or business operator who represents PowerontheMove within a defined 500m² neighborhood. Agents act as the local hub for their community— processing orders, managing inventory storage, and facilitating pickups and drop-offs within their zone. Agents earn commission on every rental facilitated in their neighborhood.
Agents are shop-based and own or operate a fixed physical location within their neighborhood. They manage logistics from their shop and build relationships with local customers. Couriers (EV couriers) are mobile delivery personnel who transport batteries between hubs, agents, and customers. Agents stay in their neighborhood; couriers move across the city. Both are essential to the system.
Agents are responsible for:
  • Accepting battery deliveries from couriers at their shop
  • Storing batteries safely and securely in their shop
  • Processing customer rentals
  • Handing over charged batteries to customers within their zone
  • Receiving returned batteries from customers and logging their condition
  • Preparing units for courier pickup and redeployment
  • Managing customer inquiries and providing basic support
  • Reporting all transactions through the PowerontheMove app
Agents earn a commission on every rental facilitated within their zone. Commission is calculated as a percentage of the rental price and is deposited directly to your registered account monthly. The more rentals you process, the more you earn. There are no upfront fees or inventory costs—you only earn when batteries are rented.
To become a PowerontheMove Agent, you must:
  • Own or operate a shop or business within a designated neighborhood
  • Provide secure storage space for batteries (at least 10m² with lockable storage)
  • Have a valid business registration and identification
  • Pass a verification process and sign an Agent Agreement
  • Commit to serving customers in your 500m² zone
  • Use the PowerontheMove app to manage all transactions
  • Maintain professional customer service standards
Customers can order through the PowerontheMove app and select your shop as their delivery and pickup point. Alternatively, customers can walk into your shop and place orders directly. You process the order in the system, confirm app payment, and hand over the charged battery. Couriers bring recharged units to your shop; you store and distribute them as customers order.
All new Agents receive comprehensive training on:
  • Battery handling and safety procedures
  • Using the PowerontheMove Agent app
  • Customer service best practices
  • Inventory management and storage
  • Reporting damage and resolving disputes
Ongoing support is available via the app, email, and dedicated Agent support line. We hold regular training sessions to update Agents on new features and procedures.
Visit our Agent sign-up page on the PowerontheMove website or app and complete the application form. You'll be asked about your shop location, storage capacity, business details, and contact information. Our team will verify your details and contact you within 3–5 business days. Once approved, you'll receive Agent credentials and begin the onboarding process.
Support
You can contact support directly in the app messaging, or through whatsapp chats. Our customer service team responds to urgent issues within 30 minutes and general inquiries within 24 hours.
This should not happen. Every unit is tested and fully charged before delivery. If your unit arrives with less than 95% charge, contact support immediately through the app and we will send you a replacement unit at no extra cost.
